Testsie Roll: JCH Street Pan 400

Before this COVID-19 pandemic, one of my guilty pleasures is to roam around the streets of Tokyo aimlessly and take random photos of people and dogs. I have a 9 to 5 job so unfortunately, I only get to do this during the weekends.

The following photos are taken with a Contax T2 loaded with a Japan Camera Hunter Street Pan 400 black and white film. These photos are mostly taken in Yokohama and Tokyo in a span of almost a month.

I really love how the photos turned out. I would rate the film at 4 out 5 stars.

I’m on a search for the best suited black and white film for me so I’ve been loading my film camera with black and white films. Hoping that by the end of this year, I’ll find my default black and white film.

*Writing this post in the middle of this stay at home times is really hurting my butt. It’s been a couple of months since my last photo walk. Maybe I can sneak out tomorrow (with my face mask of course + social distancing) and go to a short photo walk around the neighborhood.

  1. Thank you for this review. I’m a low-key B&W fan so I might give this JCH Street Pan a try. Like very soon!! Hahaha.
